II Peter 3:8-10 -> "But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare."

While it's true that the Lord does not want anyone to perish, He also gives us free will. We can choose to achieve the great salvation, live for Him and make Heaven our home OR we can choose to do things our way, live for self, and spend eternity with the devil and his angels.

The choice is yours. . .

Sometimes it's nice to just say "thank you" as opposed to asking for something.

Ask any parent out there.

It's nice when a child will come to a parent not with any ulterior motive, not to ask for anything, but to just say "thank you." Usually, the parent will give something just for the simple fact their child showed a bit of appreciation.

But if a child is always asking for things like they're parent is supposed to give into their every desire and they don't know how to be thankful, soon enough the parent will get tired and will stop giving into their every single selfish want.

Same can be applied to our Heavenly Father.

If the only time we go to Him is when we want something, sooner or later, He won't listen.

We should learn to be thankful for what we have.
We should learn to just go to Him sometimes and just say "thank you."
Not because we want something, but because of how good of a Father He is to us,
and because of how good a Father He will continue to be.

If we learn to gain a spirit of thankfulness as opposed to a spirit of "wantfulness" (yes, I invented a word ..lol) watch and see how our Father will shower us with so many things we won't be able to receive them.

Think about it...

No matter how tempting it may be
No matter what the world says is okay
Listen to GOD at ALL times.
HE'LL NEVER steer us wrong.

I Peter 2:11 ->  Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul.

Times have changed.

What was once considered right, is now considered wrong. What was once considered wrong, in the world's eyes, is now considered right.

Many of us are ridiculed, criticized, and ostracized because we are different and don't follow the ways of the world.

That's okay.

We are to be peculiar.
We are to be set apart.
We are supposed to be different.

The more people talk, the more we are to continue down the path God has designed.

In the end, it will all be worth it.

I Peter 4:12-13 -> Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.

We're human.

We get tired.

It's normal to complain every now and then.

But when it becomes a habit?
That's a problem.

Every second we breathe is a blessing and a chance for us to do something for the uplifting of God's kingdom;; no matter how big or small. 

Instead of taking time out to complain, do something more worthwhile with that time - like working for the Lord.
Philippians 2:12-13 ->Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed - not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence - continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.

Since becoming a Christian, when I come in contact with people, I always try to bring up Christ and how we should live into the conversation.

What are the results?

Majority of the time it's:
"Who do you think you are? You're not perfect! Who are you to tell me anything?"

It's not that I think I'm perfect; I know we all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. But I know that as a Christian I'm charged with telling people the truth; whether they want to hear it or not.

I'd rather people be upset with me for a little while but change their ways as a result, than to be happy I'm telling them what they want to hear and they end up losing their souls.

Acts 14:15 -> Friends, why are you doing this? We too are only human, like you. We are bringing you good news, telling you to turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made the heavens and the earth and the sea and everything in them.

Friends, how many of us have them?

Sure we have those we come in contact with on a regular basis, but can we honestly say that when we come to the darkest points in our lives they'll be there to help us deal?

Doubtful?

While our human friends may fail us from time to time, Jesus will always be there for us.


He's the best friend we could ever have. 

Instead of running when the going gets tough, He'll hang in there with us while we weather our storm. He'll continue to be by our side in this life and the one to come.


John 15:12-14 -> My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends. You are my friends if you do what I command.

Oftentimes we put our faith and trust in those around us (family & friends); we usually take them at their word, and never think twice about it. Then when they let us down, or don't keep their word, we find ourselves upset at them.

Should we be?

It's not their fault that we took everything they said to heart; they're mere flesh and blood just like us, just because they say they'll do something, or claim they'll be there for us when we need them, doesn't necessarily mean they'll do so.

So why should we continue to put our stock in someone that's just like us who'll let us down every time?

Shouldn't we learn to put our faith and trust in the One who will be there for us through thick and thin, the One who'll stick closer to us than any friend ever will, the One who will never go back on His word, and who will be by our side from here through eternity?

Isaiah 2:22
"Stop trusting in man, who has but a breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?"

If we learn to lean on, and trust, the Most High with ANY and EVERYTHING we'll be in much better shape.

• Martha was very warm-hearted. She invited Jesus and his disciples to visit her home.
• She worried about entertaining her guests, making sure there was enough food, however; she missed out on the most important thing: JESUS WAS TEACHING IN HER HOME AND SHE DID NOT HEAR A WORD!

• Mary was very faithful. She chose the “good part” – what was better for her soul.
• She relaxed at Jesus’ feet and listened to him speak. While bodies were receiving physical food, Mary’s soul received sustenance. Though a meal would be consumed for an hour, Mary’s food lasted an eternity.

God wants us to get to know Him, not because He needs our worship, but because we need His strength. It has nothing to do with satisfying His ego, but everything to do with our hope of making sense out of life today and finding eternal life in the future.

Everyday God blesses us to see on this time side of life, we're writing our eulogy.

The way we live our lives on a day to day basis,
the things we do and say,

can we HONESTLY say that we would be
proud of what others would say on our behalf when we were no longer around?

Or would someone have to make up something so not to shame our friends and loved ones?

No matter how big your problems are,
REMEMBER God is GREATER than them all!

Spend more time focusing on and developing your soul;
it's the only valuable possession we can take with us
when we leave this earth.
