Homophobia, according to Webster's definition, means: "an extreme and irrational aversion to homosexuality and homosexuals."
While I am not discounting the fact that there may be some people who have such phobias, the homosexual community labels all people who speak out against this perversion. Anyone who refuses to accept their so-called "lifestyle" is accused of having this "phobia."
First, it isn't an alternative lifestyle as the gay community would have us to believe. It is a perversion from the norm.
What do people have to fear?
What irrational aversion are they talking about?
Does anyone who speaks out against any type of immorality mean they do so because they fear?
I don't think so!
I think right-thinking people ought to condemn a practice that brings disgrace to one's community, city, and/or state!
More importantly, against God!
Second, homosexual practices are an abomination to the Creator.
God didn't institute marriages between same-sex people. No matter how hard the Gay/Lesbian community tries to justify their sinful practices, no justification can be gotten, only repentance! Unless the Gay/Lesbian community give up their sinful practice of this perverted lifestyle, no justification will be granted by God above.
Third, we have the issue of adding an amendment to the U.S. Constitution concerning same-sex marriages. There is much debate on both sides of the issue. There are now 38 states banning same-sex marriages. No matter what happens on this issue, God has already legislated on this matter, so man has no right to interfere. He created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve when He instituted marriage from the very beginning.
Fourth, the scientific community want us to believe that homosexuality is an inherent part of a person, therefore, people are born either homosexual or heterosexual!
The gay/lesbian community loves hearing this proclamation, which by the way, is fiction! How would we determine that their findings aren't factual?
The Bible tells us homosexuality is wrong and perverted.
God would not be fair to punish people for that which they are born.
Example: People born with a physical or mental deficiency beyond their control, God wouldn't condemn with eternal punishment! Nor would He condemn homosexual/ lesbian people if this was beyond their control. But God does condemn the practice of this disgrace on society, therefore, making this lifestyle a perversion and not an alternative one!
Let's now look at some Scriptures to back up what we are saying concerning homosexuality! In Genesis 2:21-24, we read, " And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife; and they shall be one flesh."
Notice, too, where God said that the person made from Adam's rib would be called "Woman" and not another "Man." Adam took Eve to be his lawful wife and not another man like himself! Our Creator could have made another man and a woman for Adam to choose for his life-long help-meet! But He did not do so! God paraded all of the animals before Adam and Adam saw that these were not sufficient as his help-meet. Then God made him a woman and she was called Eve (Mother of all living) and not Steve!
Through Adam and Eve, civilization began on the face of this earth! Conception comes only through a male and a female, and not two males, nor two females! That is God's divine plan for procreation.
When we speak about the sin of homosexuality, also known as the sin of Sodom, we are speaking about that which is sin, shameful and wicked and nowhere in the Bible is it classified as being righteousness!
In Romans 1:26,27 " For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet." In Romans 1:29, it says that they were "Being filled with all unrighteousness..." Then note verse 32, "Who, knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not, only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them."
We see these gay parades with men kissing men and women kissing women and holding hands as they walk down main street unashamedly. In fact proud of their deviant life.
Speaking of unrighteousness, and they that have pleasure in it, notice Paul's instructions and comments concerning the people at Thessalonica. In II Thessalonians 2;12, Paul states, "That they all might be damned who believe not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness."
There is a vast difference in righteousness and wickedness!
Sin is sin and sin cannot be and must not be condoned in any fashion, shape or form!
Homosexuality, the sin and shame therein, is brought out that way, by God in His Word. It has never been right, it is not right today, and it shall never be right.
Note what God's Word has to say: Leviticus 18:22, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is an abomination." Deuteronomy 23:17: "There shall be no whore of the daughters of Isreal, nor a sodomite of the sons of Isreal." I Corinthians 6:9,10: "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived ... neither effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind...shall inherit the kingdom of God." Matthew 19:4,5: "...He answered and said unto them, have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning, made them male and female...For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife..."
What has always been sin, is still sin today!
And sin will cause a person to lose his/her soul for all eternity!
Make no mistake about this!
We cannot forsake the Divine Standard!
That which God put in His sacred Volume about Sodom is a sin, it seems, had for outstripped common sinners. They had sunk to a wickedness of which shame prevents most people to speak of. There be some who would reject the distinction between the children of God and the children of the devil! No homosexual person may be accepted into fellowship (without repentance), for they are classified as wicked people (Genesis 18:23), and it plainly is stated in Exodus 23:7 that, "...I will not justify the wicked."
The gay community can start up whatever "church" they want, but rest assured, that God doesn't want any part of it. As the Psalmist stated in Psalms 127:1; "Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it; except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain."
Remember, God loves the sinner, but hates the sin!
God's Word is what will judge us in the last day (John 12:48;cp. II Timothy 3:16,17).
God does not want one single person to be lost (II Peter 3:9).
He sent His beloved Son to die for our sins (John 3:16).
And He calls all mankind to repentance (Acts 17: 30,31).
It is our sincere hope and prayer that those practicing homosexuality, change their hearts and give their lives to the Christ of the Bible, before it is everlasting too late!
